The Lone Star Cyclists is a club dedicated to enjoying recreational bicycling. It was
established in 1973 as the Grand Prairie Bicycling Association. The Club is affiliated with the
League of American Bicyclists and Adventure Cyclists. Although some of us can be pretty
darned fast, we have quite a few relaxed riders. We never drop anyone. The Club has
organized the annual Tour D'Italia rally on the third Saturday of June in Italy ,Texas, since
1984. Club dues are $20 a year. Members receive the monthly Newsletter, a 10% discount
at participating bicycle stores, and get to know some really great people.
